How do oils work?

Essential oils support the body in various ways:

1) As support for the all the systems in the body.
2) As support for balance in the body.
4) As support for stress management.
5) As support for spiritual awareness.

As support for all the systems in the body.
Essential oils give natural support to a healthy immune system, respiratory system, gastrointestinal system, circulatory, musculoskeletal, nervous and endocrine systems.  In short, all the systems in the body are supported in achieving wellness through the use of essential oils.

As support for balance in the body.
Essential oils help the cells of the body seek homeostasis.  Since they are natural compounds that the body recognizes, the body takes the compounds and uses them where they are needed in the body.  If there is an excess of any compound, the body simply eliminates it in the normal elimination systems of the body.  In this way, oils are "bi-directional," meaning that they don't just drive the body one way or the other.  Instead, they assist the body's cells to find homeostasis, which is where the cell functions optimally.

As support for stress management.
Essential oils work in the limbic system of the brain to support the body in processing emotions.

As support for spiritual awareness.
Essential oils support and increase our intuitive powers and sharpen our spiritual awareness, which is why religions all over the world, from ancient times to the present, diffuse the aromas of essential oils as incense in their sanctuaries in order to facilitate effective meditation and prayer.
